TeamLab has announced details of its new browser based word-processor, TeamLab Document Editor. Built on HTML5, the application provides a free, web-based alternative to MS Word, similar to Google Docs.

The developers claim that the editor is able to ensure complete consistency of document styles across all browsers and operating systems, as well as when the document is printed. Other features include a full range of options for table layouts, line spacing, multi-level numbering, text and heading styles.

The application features a complete set of international fonts, and provides a selection of templates for various standard business reports. TeamLab says its goal is to eliminate the boundaries between online and desktop productivity applications.
